Equinox QtCurve by grvrulz Equinox QtCurve by grvrulz
This is a QtCurve theme similar to Equinox GTK+ theme, one of my favorites on GNOME.

Any way to use that layout in GNOME's Equinox?

Sorry but this is based on QTcurve engine and cannot be used directly with the real equinox. Though I think you can use it in GNOME through a trick.
__ Install systemsettings package. It will pull a lot of KDE dpendencies.
__ Install Qtcurve( both kde and gtk engines)
__ Open systemsettings, go to appearance, select QTcurve in the dropdown. Click configure and a dialog will open. Click Import and select the QTcurve file and click OK then Apply.
__In the GNOME appearance properties, select QTcurve as the theme.

I hope this helps. Though I've not really tested it, but I think it should work.. :) :)

I actually meant the layout of the window title: Icon, then Title, then Min/Max/Close. The original Equinox replaces the icon with another button.

I know, but I would like to be able to use it without needing compositing (my computer is not that new, you know)

hmm, i think you can't do this in gconf-editor AFAIK. I think you'll have to edit something in the metacity theme. I'll try to find out today.. :)
